I just finished the game on the hardest difficulty and the main problem was that I made it difficult for myself by trying to clear every mission, which is not ideal. It's not that difficult once you understand how the game works. I dunno if people were always like that or nowadays everyone expects to first try every game. There is no shame in defeat man, every run lost is a lesson, question is if you will learn from it after first time or not at all and just rage like some people. Apparently even on easy difficulties as well which in many games would simply turn final baddies into cripples but not in Warpips. Main difference between them is amount of handicap on enemies and free resources for player, hardcore strips you from most free stuff making upgrades and full clears of first two islands very important.ġst island is easymode no matter which difficulty, 2nd mostly too but you should not go greedy capturing islands with warpips only and give them some backup, 3rd expects you to make use of vehilces liberally and be expected for heavy rushes, 4th is, well, last time I tried it it was island 1 with chopper except for HQ which is hardest mission in game and assumes you learned at least a bit of unit control and compositions in order to beat it. Enemy comps are alaways same, though first 2 easy difficulties got reworked recently to be more forgiving perhaps even outright banning some units on lieutnant so normal and hardcore comps might be different after all but always same on same difficulty level.
